This cross stitch took me 4 years. During college this was a great way for me to take a break from studying and be creative. Today this beauty is hanging in my parents living room. It's large and heavy and wasn't something that we wanted to bring to London. Plus, it's more my mother's colors than mine at the moment. So I'm glad she enjoys it.
This week I finished another cross stitch. It's almost twice as big as the one above but took me only 3 1/2 years to complete. It's another impressionist painting, Argenteuil. Soon I will frame it and put it in our guest room.
God has been good to me. He gave me a husband that encourages me to be crafty. As Dave says, 'it's great that you teach yourself to do crafty things. This will come in handy throughout our lives.' Cross stitching will be on my back burner after I finish a project for a soon to be mother. Once that's finished, I'll be focused on reteaching myself to sew. Great thing to have an Aunt who encourages me as well. Even though we live thousands of miles away she's always willing to answer all my questions and give advice. So thankful for my Aunt Beth.
